New Cream Legbar Arrivals Introduced to Food and Water

Anticipating that Star and Matilda, my Cream Legbar and Welsummer pullets, might be a bit lonely knocking about in their very spacious new chicken loft, I decided to hatch some more Cream Legbars to keep them company.

Of the six eggs I put in the incubator, only three have hatched. Of those I've ended up with one definite male, one definite female and one I'm not sure about. The markings on the one I'm not sure about do look a bit chipmunky, albeit much paler than the definite female. It has dark mascara markings and a definite dark splodge on its head, so I'm hoping it might (possibly) turn out to be a female.

Having allowed the chicks a day or so to fully dry in the incubator, I moved them into the brooder and immediately taught them how to take food and water. In nature, the new hatchlings would learn these crucial life skills from their mother. Having used an incubator the mother isn't around, so human intervention is required to make sure the chicks know what to do.
