In addition to Star and Matilda, mentioned in the previous post, I've also got a 13-week-old Cream Legbar pullet called Misty, a 6-week-old Cream Legbar pullet called Destiny and a 6-week-old Welsummer pullet called Sparkle.
My niece chooses the names, so apologies to anyone who disagrees with them!
I've not mentioned Destiny and Sparkle who both, ironically, took their first brave steps into the new world on referendum day, 23rd June 2016.

They both have a good set of adult feathers and given the warm weather are living out in the garden already. They share a small house and enclosure with Misty, who seems to get on quite well with them despite their smaller stature.
The three of them are separated from Star and Matilda by an electrified poultry net, but the idea is eventually to have all five pullets together in the Green Frog Designs Chicken Loft Medium. That can only happen when they're all fully grown and well accustomed to each other, which will take several more weeks.
Having pullets of three different ages is not ideal, because the older ones will undoubtedly pick on the youngsters. I'm not going to do any more hatching until next Spring. I think my strategy then will be to fully load the incubator for a single hatch of Columbian Blacktail hybrids. I'll be sure to buy an excess of hatching eggs, so I can be certain of getting a good number of healthy females.
